New Way to Moisturize?

Welp, along with testing out new things for my wash day, I'm also testing out new ways to moisturize!

I had previously suspected that possibly my hair needed an added protein boost. So this time after wash day, I decided to add an extra step in my normal routine.

All I really did was apply Aubrey Organics Glycogen Protein Balance conditioner to like the bottom half of my hair and soaked it in really good. Then, atop of that I sprayed a heavy amount of the Mystic Divine's Nourishing Leave In Conditioner on my hair and rubbed that in. And then sealed that in with good ol' castor oil. And then I proceeded to twist up my hair in medium-sized twists. About 5 in each section. So predictable.... I know lol.

Another thing I decided to test is BAGGYING. I decided that I didn't want my hair to dry out overnight, so I covered my hair with a plastic cap while it was still kind of damp and let it marinate overnight. Then this morning, it was still damp-wet, so I tied it in a ponytail and then wrapped my satin bonnet and scarf over it for the day. By the end of the day, here is what my twists were looking like....

They were so soft and shiny and more firm this time around! So I'm thinking that protein conditioner from Aubrey Organics really helped out! For tonight, I haven't added any moisturizers since it was still partially damp but I did wrap it under another plastic cap and it's under my satin bonnet. This is how I pinned up my hair...

I'm itching to buy some hair products. At least some really good moisturizers that aren't..... wallet...bullies... lol

I don't know, I do kind of feel like splurging though.... but on what!????

But until next time!

♥ Keep calm 'n coily ♥
