Probably because I'm using new products! And I will get into that in a later review.
But overall, the health of my hair is BOOMING! I'm excited to report, I lost very little broken strands. And the type of strands I lost were like the thin, transparent ones so I'm thinking my hair might need a little protein boost of some sort. I'm still wondering how I might incorporate that into my regimen since my regimen seems pretty straight forward already.
I'm thinking that I'll just start applying a protein conditioner to my ends before sealing it in... but I don't always care to do that because the smell overpowers my hair (I normally use Aubrey Organics Glycogen Protein Balancing Conditioner and it usually does a very good job!) and I'm not a fan of smelling like mentholated rose petals all day lol. Maybe using protein conditioners is something I'll do on a nightly basis... and then moisturize and seal in the morning? I don't know. Maybe it just needs a small deep conditioning with the protein conditioner followed up by a moisturizing deep conditioner once every few months or so?
I don't know. I'll continue to play around with the idea...
As far as the twists, nothing too different from how I normally do them. My twists are still pretty thick from tips to roots and they're getting so chunky and shiny! I love these twists! And the twistout afterwards is always always thee BOMB! This is perhaps thee best styling routine I've had on my hair for a minute!
Maybe it's just the regimen and how my hair has been responding to it? I don't know. But what I do know is that it's simple. It's low maintenance. It helps my hair retain length.... I can't really argue with it!
