Hmm... Baby Hair??

I love baby hair honestly. But I never know how to do it right. I've never had baby hair "naturally" (that I remember anyway) and when I tried to do it manually, slicking all kinds of gel through it, they would stay flat for like 2 seconds and then start coiling up before I could even wrap a scarf around it. And then I think I would overdo it and just look like some kind of "soul-glo" commercial *rolling eyes* lol. I gave up on baby hairs altogether.

But (not this morning, these pics were taken a couple days ago) I woke up one morning and took down my hair from a pineapple and started to notice a thin layer of baby hairs forming...

Normally, the hair around my edges are more puffy and afro-textured which is why I usually always slicked them back with gel or brushed them or manipulated them some type of way. The night before, I hadn't done anything to my edges, just pineappled my hair and when I woke up the following morning, I had a thin layer of baby hairs that sprouted.

I'm not exactly sure what is the cause of them trying to sprout NOW but I think I can safely assume it might be due to the increase and constant moisture levels I'm now trying to maintain in my hair. I mean why not? I've definitely noticed a difference in definition and thickness in my hair, why would baby hairs be any different?

Maybe the more I keep doing this, the more prevalent they'll become? I don't know. I didn't even know I had any, I mean I knew I had EDGES, but baby hairs??? That's kinda neat right?

That day, this was the style that I ended up wearing to work:

So much definition and this is day 3-4 hair!

I had only used avocado oil to add a bit more shine to it and that was all. Still so much fluff and bounce and coil and pounce! lol Really enjoying this week of the w'n'go!!

But until next time!
