Tying Up Wash Day Cycle 4

Just a quick update that I didn't post yesterday.

After deep conditioning for like a few hours or so (no overnighting that time), I decided to leave in the deep conditioner and just seal it in with castor oil and then I twisted my hair into big chunky twists...

This morning, I decided to take down my scarf to see where my hair was in the drying process (still drying). But I noticed that I got nice definition with only the castor oil and possibly the deep conditioner as well.

But after trying to unravel it further for definition, it began to unravel back into those tiny ringlets again....

It's not that I hate it, but I'm just not.... used to it.

I come from detangling thoroughly with a wide tooth comb until there was no curl left ANYWHERE lol. And then go back in with a denman brush and some brush and magically there were thick clumps in that section.

I'm not used to my hair naturally separating into tiny and tinier curls and ringlets... I'm honestly not used to my curls getting so small. The more I care for my hair, I'm starting to get used to it. It''s really hard to explain honestly.

I think finger detangling is helping me keep more of my curl pattern than if I were to detangle weekly with tools.............

I don't know! I don't know what the heck my hair is doing when it comes to definition and curls. As far as this whole 100% maximum hydration thing goes... I'm starting to think my front is going to take the longest to get there... Four cycles and they're still relatively frizzier though the middle of my hair and even some spots in my nape area are starting to curl and have about 90% curl as far as each clump. The edges and sides around my ear are still more frizzy then curl right after rinsing. In totality, the areas are not big areas, but because these areas are the first areas to get smoothed down and over the others, it's more noticeable.... is that making any sense? ....... No lol.

I'll continue to pursue this regimen though... I think I'm gonna see some great results from sticking with this!

On the up and up though.... I definitely need to get some more Apple Cider Vinegar and Bentonite Clay...

But until next time!

♥ Keep it calm 'n coily ♥
