That's how I feel right now. With this whole fitness thing, I've only been on it for two weeks, today starts my third week and I've made fair progress but not nearly anything like I'm used to.
In two weeks, I've managed to lose like 1.5 pounds, shed 1.5 inches off my muffin top area nothing off of my waist, .5 inch off my hips, fuller hips, quads, and thighs and my arms in their relaxed state have lost .5 inch but when I flex them I now have a full inch of muscle as opposed to my waining .5 inch of muscle.
So all in all, fair progress right?
I guess I'm just used to having lost 5 or 6 pounds by now. Shedded off like 2 to 2.5 inches around my body, I'm used to having seen RESULTS. And now I'm not seeing them quite as fast as I used to.
If anything, I started gAiNiNg when I started working out and eating healthier. I'm amazed that all I lose is almost 2 lbs in 2 weeks like what the flip!? But I don't want to focus on what I'm not gaining because it will keep me down and depressed and not want to continue on. Maybe I should look at what I have been gaining since I started working out...
I'm an Animaniac!!! lol. I'm up alot more, work is still a drag but I drag that I can burst through now. I always want to go now which is good because that's the kind of person I know I am deep inside but for awhile just have never been.
Breathe Better, Live Longer..I am iron deficient....which reminds me.............. lol I had to take my iron tablet for the day. :) But with exercising as well, I notice that I am breathing better and I don't get short-winded as often as I used to. Heck, I barely get short-winded and my endurance is definitely improving in my life in general.
Skin Is Clearing. I've never been one to have too many frequent issues with my skin aside from the occasional pimple which was mostly from taking biotin (hair care noob), or washing my face with different face washes. I don't use face wash anymore, not even black soap. It ALL breaks my face out. If anything, I do the oil cleansing method, but with or without that, my skin and face keep a glow. I love that!
Push Up Princess! lol Not really, but I'm getting way better at them than I used to. In my previous workout journies, I could do me some modified push ups (the ones on your knees). I've been working hard to get away from them and do the full push ups! Today I pulled out 30 full push ups, no modified ones at all! Twenty in a row, then I took a breather and did another 10. When I first started this two weeks ago, I could only do 10 altogether, 5-break-5. Now I'm doing 20-break-10?! Ahhhh yeeeeaaaaah! lol
It's Plank.....ton? No it's not. But my planking skills are getting better! I do them on my elbow because I feel it a LOT more in my abs than I do on my hands. But I suppose doing them on your hands increases the strength in your arms too but ah well. I used to only be able to hold it for 40-50 seconds. Today I lasted for a good 80 seconds! Whoop whoop!
I'm the Stretchy Guy From Fantastic Four! lol I do love that movie! But my flexibility is getting way better! I can finally touch my toes! And the balls of my feet! And the floor! lol Something I could NEVER do as a kid! I want to keep improving my flexibility though, I would love to be able to touch my nose to my knees with my legs straight whether standing or sitting down. I think that would be AWESOME!
Heck I'm Stronger! That-that-that-that-that don't kill you...can only make you stronger...I need you to hurry up now....cause I can't wait much longer! I really don't like the new Kanye but that's the greatest song he could've ever come up with! lol Sometimes, I practice trying to lift myself on different things (but majority of the time I'm so scared I'm gonna break something! lol). Last time I tried my door and I pulled myself like halfway up. I could hang on though. So that's great to know that should I ever find myself dangling off the edge of a cliff I could hang on for dear life. LOL!
My Muffin Top is now a Sturdy Hill! So should I change the name? It's firmed up, and it's flattening out beautifully! I'm glad THAT didn't take long cause from my previous two attempts of working out and losing weight, I could NEVER get rid of that darned thing! It was always there! Now it seems like that's the first thing to go! But everyone says that to lose the muffin top, it's more about what you're eating as opposed to how you're working out and I've been taking that into account more often incorporating more fruits and veggies and trying to eat less sodium and pretty much packaged items. And LOTS of water and obviously it's showing me results! So if nothing else comes out of this, at least I'll have an even tummy for the bikinis! lol
Okay so that's actually alot to have gained in only two weeks....I guess I'll stop complaining but it's just so easy to when you're not getting what you WANT. But I'm gaining a healthier and active lifestyle...Can't really lose on that one now can you?
♥ and keep it coily ♥
