CamdenGrey Haul! ♥

My package came in today. It's really nothing that big, just replenishing my oils. But here's what I got:

  • 2 lbs of Avocado Oil
  • 2 lbs of Castor Oil
  • 2 lbs of Grapeseed Oil
  • 2 oz of Eucalyptus Oil
  • 8 oz of Avocado Butter
  • 4 oz of Cupuacu Butter

So I got a couple new items to add to my oil and butter inventory. lol Mostly because of ceramides and I think I kinda said already that I was gonna try and help reinforce the ceramides in my hair. Ceramides are the "glue" that helps strengthen and keep together the hair's cuticle layers which in turns helps in decreasing breakage, restores natural properties of the hair, and improves the strength and appearance of the hair.

I think that's a pretty good deal, now wouldn't ya say?

So I did a bit of research and found that Grapeseed Oil has one of the highest percentages of "suggested" amounts of ceramides. And also Eucalyptus Oil which I read in another blog somewhere that it improved ceramides in the hair by over 100% within a month for ladies that used water with eucalyptus oil mixed in it. So I'm thinking about doing that first. I'm also thinking about getting another applicator bottle and using it for grapeseed oil and eucalpytus oil together (and possibly some peppermint oil) to use as my "ceramide mix" just to see what it'll do for my hair. Of course, I won't be getting rid of my avocado//castor oil mix like when I'm sealing my hair or whatever, but I'll probably use it for scalp massages or hot oil treatments or something...who knows. We shall see. I may end up mixing it altogether with avocado oil, castor oil, grapeseed oil, AND eucalpytus oil. It just might work out, but I just want to see how these two oils work for my hair first so that I can pinpoint what becomes the issue and what doesn't, feel me?

And the cupuacu butter was just for luxury. lol I hear a lot of good things about this butter including that it's incredibly moisturizing and that it retains water well (that's what I heard). I've heard that it's likened to cocoa butter, but I dunno. I'm just trying stuff! lol I'll try it alone a few times and possibly make a small mix of this butter with my avocado butter which I LURVE and maybe add in a few oils, but probably not because I would think those two butters alone would be immensely moisturizing enough. Soooo yaaah, that's it! ♥
