Twistout: Day 1 & 2

Second Day Twistout
I think I'm actually digging the Camille Rose's Almond Jai Twisting Butter, but using it honestly reminded me of using Shea Moisture's Curl Enhancing Smoothie. The consistency of SMCES is thicker than the CRAJTB, and in my opinion the Shea Moisture has a better smell that's more noticeable in my hair. As far as application and styling, they both act similarly leaving my hair damp for DAYS it felt like. When I use these products they seem to...prolong the wetness of my hair (if that made any sense) but yeah, these products don't seem to encourage my hair to dry faster but instead to dry slower. In a sense, it was like waiting for a wash'n go to airdry. Does that clear it up? lol

But I HAVE to say that this Almond Jai Twisting Butter gave my hair some DEFINITE definition! It's CRAZY sick and shiny and I LOVED my hair. And not only that, very soft and fluffy (but I'll probably attribute some of that to my garnier leave in I used also) and just downright GORGEOUS. I LOVED my hair!

Day 2

I actually took the twists down last night using nothing. Of course, some of the back twists were still a bit damp but I took them down carefully anyway, and then twisted them into 6 chunky twists and stretched them and bobby pinned them over my head to stretch them out. When I took them out this morning, everything had finally dried, and all I used was a bit of avocado oil for a bit a sheen which I honestly probably didn't even need. I initially separated and fluffed a few pieces, but throughout the day I continued to separate more pieces which encouraged it (along with crazy southern weather) to get a little bigger by the end of the day. Totally loving this twistout! I want to make it stretch for the rest of the week and then embark on my next protective style: Yarn Twists!

Stay tuned! ;)
